MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream has been impacted by his international popularity. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) was awarded a Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He was a part of the team with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is an essential part of his life. As a child was in school, he took guitar as well as the saxophone. Though his original career plan was to be a veterinarian for animals, his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with a Cuban. This transformed his life forever.
