Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she started intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After 2000, she emigrated to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Passion and enthusiasm for art, music, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
